Registration

General Information

IEEE PerCom 2022 has a flat, all-inclusive registration fee. Conference registrations include attendance to all PerCom events including the main conference, all associated workshops, and other events. There is no workshop-only registration. All conference attendees have to register. The direct link to IEEE PerCom 2022 registration site is here.

Conference (virtual) format

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, IEEE PerCom 2022 had to switch to fully virtual. Virtual attendance will be supported via Zoom and Whova. Detailed instructions will be provided on a dedicated part of the PerCom 2022 website.

Free registrations for students

IEEE PerCom 2022 is delighted to offer 100 student FREE registrations, based on a First-Come-First-Served basis.

The rationale is to incentivise motivated students to attend the conference and interact during the live sessions. Therefore, the procedure associated with the free registrations is the following:

  • Each student will have to provide a letter signed by the supervisor, confirming their student status. The letter will be submitted during the registration process in ConfTool (please refer to the specific instructions below).
  • Each student is requested to attend at least 8 (eight) sessions scheduled in the program from Tuesday to Thursday. In addition, s/he is requested to attend at least half-day on Monday and on Friday. Given the schedule, it should be possible to meet this constraint irrespective of your time zone.
    • Each WiP panels session (#1 and #2), and the entire Demonstration sessions count as 1;
    • The Demo madness and PhD madness must be attended both in order to be counted.
  • Attendance to sessions will be recorded via Zoom. Therefore, students are required to be visible in Zoom with the same name used for registration, in order to be counted.
  • After the event, we will send a message to each registered student and the supervisor, with a report on the attendance of the student to the sessions.
  • Students who have already registered as author, associated to one or more papers accepted in the conference and/or affiliated events, are not eligible.
  • Students who have already registered as non-authors will be automatically refunded by the organising committee.

Discounted Registration Fee

Discounted registration fees are available for members of the IEEE. Discounts are also available for students except for those students who are registering for a paper to be presented (and they are the only authors registering for the paper) – please see author registration below. Students who only have a “Ph.D. Forum” paper may register at the student rate (the Ph.D. Forum is a special event at PerCom).

Author Registration

  • Camera ready papers cannot be submitted until the authors have registered and paid the conference.
  • Each accepted paper at the main conference or any satellite event (i.e., any of the workshops, demonstrations, Work in Progress, except only for the Ph.D. Forum) has to have an “author registration” at a full (non-student) rate associated with it. We refer to this as “registering for the paper”. Author registration deadline is 11:59pm CET, February 4, 2022. For authors who have several accepted papers, one full registration can cover two accepted papers. Please, contact the registrations chair (percom2022@conftool.net) for more information, if needed.
  • If a student has only a “Ph.D. Forum” paper to register for (and no other paper at any of the other events for which there are no other authors registering), then the student can register as a student.
  • Please note, that all authors (other than students who only have a “Ph.D. Forum” paper) are required to register at a full (IEEE member or non-member) rate.
  • Please note, that not all authors of a paper need to be registered as authors, but at least one of the authors has to be, i.e., each accepted paper must have one of the authors registered at the full rate.
