International travellers must obtain an Indian visa before arrival. Most nationalities are eligible for the convenient e-Visa, which can be applied for online at https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/evisa/. The e-Visa is typically processed within 3–5 business days.
For attendees travelling specifically to participate in IEEE PerCom, the appropriate category is the e-Business Visa (for e-Conference purpose). The following documents and clearances are required:
- Scanned bio page of the passport showing the photograph and details
- Invitation letter from the conference organizers (which the applicant may request from the PerCom organizing committee)
- Political clearance from the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA)
- Event clearance from the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA)
The political and event clearances are arranged by the conference organizers in India — attendees do not need to apply for these separately. The organizers will reach out to the authors immediately after the paper acceptance notifications to collect the information required for political clearance. Attendees are strongly encouraged to share this information as early as possible, as the clearance process can take several weeks.
More details will be updated soon.
