The conference banquet will take place on the evening of Wednesday, March 18th at the historic Piazza Guerrazzi and Leopolda Station, one of the first railway stations in Europe. Originally Pisa’s first railway station, it was inaugurated in 1844 as the terminal of the early Tuscan railway connecting Pisa, Livorno, and later Florence, playing a central role in the region’s transport network.
After the station closed,the site served as Pisa’s fruit and vegetable market from 1929 to 1993. In the late 1990s, it underwent a careful restoration that transformed it into a modern multifunctional venue, preserving its distinctive industrial character, marked by large stone arches and spacious interiors, while adapting it for contemporary cultural and event use.
Located in the heart of Pisa, the venue is easily accessible on foot from the city center.
