IEEE CS TCPP & TCCC Travel Grant for non-US students, due Feb 21, 2024 (via Google Form)
The 23rd IEEE International Conference on Pervasive Computing and Communications (IEEE PerCom 2025) is pleased to announce competitive student travel grants for non-US based students to attend the conference and co-located events (Workshops, Ph.D. Forum, WiP, Industry Track, Demo sessions, etc.) to be held in Washington DC, USA, March 17-21, 2025. Funds for the travel grants, that partially reimburse the conference attendance cost, have been provided by the IEEE Computer Society Technical Committee on Parallel Processing (TCPP) and Technical Committee on Computer Communications (TCCC).
This funding is available only for full time students attending non-US colleges and universities. Minority and women students from diverse institutions are particularly encouraged to apply. Although student authors will be given priority for travel awards, however, this is not a requirement. Post-doctoral students may also be considered for support on a case-by-case basis. To be eligible, non-US based students (henceforth referred to as “you”) must apply via Google Form (https://forms.gle/oKpXKVpwWwf3gisU8) no later than Friday, February 21, 2025.
To apply for this travel support, please do the following:
- Obtain a letter from your advisor/professor confirming that:
- You are currently a full -time research student in good standing, working in areas related to pervasive computing.
- You will be attending the entire PerCom conference and associated events.
- The remainder of your travel support will be covered (indicate how).
- Write a personal statement describing your research interests and how you wish to benefit from attending PerCom 2025. Indicate your full-time student status, and location from which you will be traveling.
- Upload the above documents, along with your two-page CV, on Google Form.
Please note that IEEE PerCom conference will not be able to reimburse all of your travel expenses due to limited budget. Eligible expenses include advance student registration fee, hotel, and/or transportation (flight, bus or train). Expenses that are not eligible for reimbursement include regular or on-site registration, taxi and meals. Student travel grants are available in the form of reimbursements that are sent only after the completion of the conference and receipt of all required documentation and receipts. The reimbursement amount will be based on the number of awards made and distance travelled.
